Showcase 2022 – 5th and 6th of November 2022 – Portugese Club, Rugby

Show off your moves at the 10th Annual Pole Dance Cape Town Showcase!

On behalf of the Pole Dance Cape Town Team, we invite you to join us on stage for another magical pole and aerial production.
Any pole and aerial artist, from novice to professional, will be welcome to prepare a piece to perform on stage to an audience of friends, family and pole and aerial enthusiasts. This is the perfect opportunity to show off  your pole and aerial skills, push yourself to the next level and surprise yourself at what your body can do.

The details

You can take part in a solo, duet or group, but we encourage our novice girls to group together to offer each other support as you push your boundaries. Solo performers may be asked to send in a 1 min audition video.

There will be two performances:
Saturday 5th November 2022 at 19h00
Sunday 6th November 2022 at 14h00

A compulsory full dress rehearsal will take place on Friday evening, so you can get a feel for the spacing of the poles and the stage itself.

More info

Our theme for this year’s showcase is ‘Once upon a time’ – performances inspired by Disney.  You can choose anything within the theme, just make sure that it is appropriate for all ages.

With so many songs to choose from, we will be limiting the songs to a maximum of 2 songs per movie to keep a variety in the show.

Performances may be between 2.5 and 3.5 minutes.

There will be three poles set in a triangle, two in front and one at the back.
The poles are 45mm powder coated and are 4m high.
The 2 front poles are 3,5m apart and the back pole is 2,4m in a diagonal from the front poles.

You may choose from 3 options for your pole configuration:

  • 2 front poles on spinning and the back one on static (SP/SP/ST)
  • 2 front poles on static and the back one on spinning (ST/ST/SP)
  • All 3 poles on spinning (SP/SP/SP)

The plan for Lyra’s is to have 3 Lyra’s set up giving the options ( 1 x solo / Solo in the middle, duets on the outside, 3 x solos etc.)
